Instructions for CP Installation

Note: The screen displays shown on this page are for Windows XP. If your computer uses another version of Windows, your screen may look different but the instructions to follow are the same.

• To download and install the program, you will need about 11.5 MB of free disk space on your hard drive. When you click on the download link your screen will look something like this:

• After downloading the files, double click on cp960.exe to begin the installation. Your screen will look like this:

• Click "OK" and you will see

• Click the "Unzip" button. The program will run and then you will see

• Click "OK". The CP Setup program will run next. You will see

• Configure the program to your liking by pressing the letters A-I or the numbers 1-9. In particular, make sure that the active phonetic dictionary (option C), process analysis (option D), and computer operating system (option F) are set correctly. The default setup is to keep ALL of CP's analysis modules. If there are any analyses you don't want, press the letter or number next to its name so that the highlighted word "Install" changes to "Remove". When you are ready to complete the setup, press F1. The Setup program deletes all unnecessary files from your computer.

• When the Setup program is finished, you can delete the file that you downloaded (cp960.exe). Deleting this file will reduce the total file size for CP to around 8 MB.
